A man wanted for two separate armed robberies in Georgia and South Carolina was arrested Sunday in North Augusta. Jeremiah Shearouse, 43, of Pooler, Georgia, is charged with disposal of a stolen vehicle, according to jail records. Just before 3 p.m. Saturday, North Augusta Public Safety officers were assisting with a funeral escort when Shearouse was seen walking on Georgia Avenue near Medlin Road, according to an incident report. Officers recognized him as the person of interest in two armed robberies, in Savannah, Georgia and Dorchester County, South Carolina, and a carjacking earlier in the day in Aiken County, according to the report.
