Augusta authorities are investigating a murder in the Glenn Hills area. Richmond County sheriff's deputies responded to the 2800 block of Lumpkin Road at 8:06 a.m. Saturday where they found a man who had been shot, according to sheriff's Sgt. John Perry. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen later confirmed via email that the victim was James Brinson, 42, who lived on the same block where the shooting occurred. He was pronounced dead at 8:43 a.
