Thanks to a groundbreaking new agreement between Augusta Tech and Augusta University, tech-school students such as Colby Richardson now have a smoother path toward a bachelor's degree. The two colleges' presidents signed a deal Wednesday creating a pathway program that they say is a first for the state of Georgia: Students who earn associate degrees at Tech can apply all their academic credits toward pursuing bachelor's degrees at AU. 'I was going to get my bachelor's and I had considered Augusta University, but because the credits didn't transfer all the way I had actually kind of backed out,' said Richardson, who earned his associate degree in business administration in December.
